Dear Sister, has God ever whispered something to your heart? Maybe it was a promise so personal that you just knew it came from Him. It might have been about your family, your health, your purpose, or this new season now that the kids are grown and it’s finally your turn.
Here is what I want you to hear today: if God gave you a promise, believe that His promise will come true. Not maybe. Not someday if you get everything right. His word does not return void.
“God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19)
God Sends Signs to Remind You
Our Father knows how easily we get distracted. Life gets loud, doubt creeps in, and we start wondering if we heard Him right. But He is faithful, so He doesn’t make a promise and leave us guessing. He sends reminders. A scripture jumps off the page. A conversation confirms what you already felt. A door keeps opening in the same direction, no matter how many times you walk away from it.
“And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it.” (Isaiah 30:21)
Those signs aren’t coincidences, Sister. They are love notes from a God who refuses to let you forget what He spoke over your life.
My Story: Chasing Shiny Objects
I’ll be honest with you. I always believed in my heart that God wanted me to be with the HBA family. I felt it deep down. But did I stay put? No, ma’am.
I kept jumping from one shiny object to the next. There was a new program here and a new “opportunity” there, and each one promised to be the answer. Every time, I ended up right back where I started, a little more tired and a little more scattered.
But God is patient. He started showing me signs, gentle and persistent ones, pointing me back to HBA. Over and over, the path kept leading home. And finally, I listened.
So thank God, I have returned home to HBA, and it is great. I’m surrounded by a community of caring, kind, like-minded people. They encourage one another, celebrate each other’s wins, and genuinely want to see each other succeed. It feels like where I’m supposed to be, because it is.
Trust That He Will Guide You Too
Maybe you’ve been wandering too. Maybe you’ve started and stopped more times than you’d like to admit. Hear me: it is not too late, and you are not too old. Your wandering doesn’t cancel His promise. The same God who led me home will guide you too.
“For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come.” (Habakkuk 2:3)
Watch for the signs. Pay attention to the doors that keep opening and the nudges that won’t go away. Then have the courage to walk through. He who promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23), and He will fulfill His promise to you.
