Keep Going, Sister: God Meets You Where You Step

Dear Sister,

I want to talk to the woman who is tired today.

Maybe you are tired in your business. You have poured hours into products, posts, and pins, and the numbers do not seem to match your effort. Maybe you are tired in your finances, your family, your health, or your heart. Maybe you have looked at the calendar, thought "I should be further along by now," and quietly wondered whether it is time to stop.

Sweet sister, before you decide anything, let me say this with every ounce of love I have: do not give up. Not today. Not this week. Not on the dream God placed in your heart.

Hard Does Not Mean Wrong

Somewhere along the way, many of us were taught that if something is difficult, it must not be God's will. But Scripture tells a different story. Noah built for years before the first raindrop. Joseph walked through a pit and a prison before he saw a palace. Sarah waited decades for a promise. Ruth gleaned in a field before she ever saw her redemption.

Hard is not a sign that you are in the wrong place. Very often, hard is the sign that you are in the middle, and the middle is where faith is built.

The middle is not glamorous. It is the long stretch where nobody is clapping yet. It is the season of writing the product no one has bought, posting the content no one has liked, and praying the prayer you have already prayed a hundred times. But the middle is also where roots grow deep, and deep roots are what hold a harvest.

Success Comes Step by Step

We live in a world that sells overnight success. But I have lived long enough to tell you the truth: almost nothing worth having arrives overnight.

Think of how you raised your children, or built your home, or learned the things you know best. None of it happened in a single day. It happened in small, faithful, ordinary steps, repeated again and again until one day you looked up and realized you had come a long way.

Your business is the same. Your healing is the same. Your fresh start is the same.

  • One more pin is a step.
  • One more page written is a step.
  • One more morning of showing up when you did not feel like it is a step.
  • One more prayer whispered over your work is a step.

Zechariah 4:10 asks, "Who dares despise the day of small things?" God does not despise your small steps. He counts every single one.

And Watch How God Meets You

Here is the part that has changed everything for me, and I hope it changes something for you.

When you take the step, God shows up.

Not always before you move. Not always in the way you drew it up. But time and again, when a woman of faith takes one obedient step forward, she finds that He is already there. A door opens that she did not knock on. A resource appears she did not know to ask for. A person crosses her path at exactly the right moment. A peace settles over her heart in a room where there was no earthly reason for peace.

James 4:8 promises, "Come near to God and he will come near to you." And Isaiah 40:31 tells us that those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength, that they will soar on wings like eagles, run and not grow weary, walk and not faint.

Notice that last part. Sometimes God gives us wings. Sometimes He gives us running legs. And sometimes the miracle is simply that we walk and do not faint. Every one of those is His strength, and every one of those is enough.

You do the stepping. He does the meeting. And I promise you, sister, He is better at meeting us than we ever imagined.

Your Harvest Is Coming

Galatians 6:9 is one of my favorite verses for exactly the days you want to quit: "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

At the proper time. Not our time, but His, and His timing is never late. The seed you planted last month is not wasted just because you cannot see it yet. Under the soil, where no one is watching, God is working.

There is a harvest with your name on it. But it only comes to the woman who keeps tending the field.

For the Days You Want to Quit

If today is one of those days, here is what I want you to do. Not everything. Just this:

  1. Breathe, and pray one honest sentence. "Lord, I am tired, and I need You." That is a complete prayer.
  2. Take one small step. Choose the smallest next thing and do it.
  3. Write down one way God has already carried you. Look back at how far you have come.
  4. Tell one sister. Do not carry this alone. Encouragement is a gift God designed us to give and receive.

Then rest. Rest is not quitting. Even the Lord rested on the seventh day. You are allowed to be tired and still be faithful.

You Were Not Made to Quit

You have survived things you thought would break you. You have raised children, buried dreams, and planted new ones. You have already proven something that no circumstance can undo: you are a woman who gets back up.

So stand tall, sister. Bold. Grounded. Unashamed. The same God who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion (Philippians 1:6). He has not forgotten you, and He is not finished.

Keep going. Your breakthrough is closer than it feels.

A Prayer for You

Father, thank You for the sister reading this today. You see how tired she is, and You see every step she has taken in faith. Strengthen her heart. Renew her hope. Open the doors that only You can open, and meet her right where she stands. Give her courage for the next step, and remind her that her harvest is coming at the proper time. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Let's Encourage Each Other

I would love to hear from you. What is one step you are taking today, even a small one? Share it in the comments below. Your step may be the exact encouragement another sister needs to keep going.

Walking beside you, always,
Sharon
